Wedding Fever!

In honor of my new job as a part-time wedding coordinator and my sister getting engaged, I set to work creating a wedding planner. I remembered the headache of planning my own wedding - bits of paper here, email addresses there, what was that website again? Right, the process of planning a wedding is not as glamorous as J-Lo makes it seem. Since the majority of my relatives live in Singapore, and I am closer to my family than he is, my hubby and I decided to have our wedding there, halfway around the world. Thankfully my dear uncle helped a ton by visiting all the vendors I could only view from the screen of my laptop. In the end it all went off without a hitch.....LOL..... I got hitched without a hitch....I crack myself up.
Anyhoo....I was checking out Etsy and realized there really wasn't a proper variety of handmade wedding planners for sale. A bride needs more than one or two choices! I set to work. I LUUUURVV pretty paper, so it was really just a good excuse for me to indulge in embossed, embellished, em-everything-ed card stock and scrapbook paper. And don't even get me started on the stickers! It took a while, but after scouring the internet for updated sample budgets and lists and thinking in the shower and in bed (where my true genius flows), I produced a wedding planner that will be helpful at keeping brides organized. I made a demo and showed it to my sister, and we headed to the store to find papers for her own planner. Hers should be completed by this weekend, but I've made a few others in between. Check them out at my Etsy store, AnnelynDesigns, but for now, here are a few pictures! The next round of planners will be in formal black and white prints with touches of purple or tiffany blue, and after that, girly pinks, yellows, and greens!

Low Entries and Ending Soon! Accessorize Any Outfit with these Sweet Handmade Headbands!

I love dainty accessories, so when I saw these headbands made by 2cutelittlecreations on Etsy the little feathered and crocheted creations caught my eye. Kristine was sweet enough to send me two of her headbands to review, her 1.5" Lavender Crocheted Flower Headband and her Ultra Thin Tri-flower Peach Fabric Headband:
So who creates these cute headbands? A supersweet SAHM and fellow Texan!

"I am a stay at home mother of two beautiful children. I have been crafting and creating for as long as I can remember. I began making handmade headbands, clothing, and tutus when my daughter was born. I adore all things girly and wanted special and unique accessories for my sweet little diva! Soon family members and friends were asking me to create products for their children and to give as gifts. As word spread, Cute Little Creations was born!

All of my products are handmade in a smoke & pet free environment with your little one in mind. All clips and headbands are backed with soft felts and fleece to ensure a comfortable fit next to your little ones skin. Headbands, Waistbands, and Elastics, are super soft and stretchy so that my products are not only comfortable, but will fit for years. My daughter gives each new product a test run before it is listed for sale to ensure that it is not only beautiful but durable enough to last. Custom orders are welcome! Please contact me at: cutelittlecreations@gmail.com and I would be happy to create something unique for you."

First up is the Lavender Crocheted Headband. It seems everything I get my daughter these days is pink, so I was pleased to receive something different! The flower is supersoft, the band has no clasp/closure, and the part where the flower is attached to the band is covered by felt, so there's no way for the headband to get caught on her hair. The center has a crystal flower to add a touch of bling. I love to wear the flower right above her little ear, like a Hawaiian doll!
Next up is the Tri-Flower Fabric Headband. This is absolutely adorable. The handmade flowers are heat sealed and each is one-of-a-kind. The lace, pearls, and feather add a fancy touch, and all are attached to the band with felt coverings for comfort. My daughter is younger than the model used in Kristine's pictures, so the feathers look much bigger on her head, but I think it's so cute to wear it "upside down" with the feather sticking up. She looks like a little flapper girl...all she needs is a fringed dress :)! I also like the fact that these headbands can be used from baby to adulthood. The headband fit my head so I snapped a shot. It's a pretty accessory for mom too!

Kristine has offered a giveaway of her Ultra Thin Peach Fabric Headband (pictured below). It has a little peach colored flower embellished with a pearl and feather. You can enter in a few easy steps (please make sure to leave a comment and email addie for each entry):

"I'm Pooped" Organic Onesie by Burgundy Baby

I had the pleasure of reviewing this cute, pink "I'm Pooped" onesie. I love that it's organic, original, and funny. I laugh every time I see it.... and who couldn't use a few extra laughs, right?

I only want the best materials to touch my little one and we try to be as eco-friendly as possible, so I really appreciate the attributes that set these onesies apart from others:

• Made of 100% Organic Cotton (220 gsm interlock, creating a thick, high-quality, ultra-soft onesie for comfort and warmth that your baby will love)
• Certified to meet or exceed specification of the Global Organic Textile Standard
• Dyed with AZO-free/heavy metal-free eco-friendly dyes
• Nickel free snaps to prevent allergic reactions
• Snaps match garment color
• All prints are printed with non-toxic water-based inks
• Tagless design for ultimate comfort and no itching or scratching

So who makes these adorable onesies?

"My name is Bergin. I'm 27 years old, and I have a dream. No, rewind, let's try this again. I'm a corporate lawyer by day; I design baby clothing by night; and I want to dress your baby right. Okay, I can live with that.

So I might be a little weird and corny, but I love not taking life too seriously. I also love creativity and have always been very interested in fashion. I have created BurgundyBaby because I really want to bring a new style to baby and children's wear. My aim is to design attire that is fun, edgy, fashionable, and can actually be the topic of conversation beyond how cute it looks. So, once I knew I wanted to create high-end clothing designed to be the talk of the town (or at least Mommie & Me class), I also knew I wasn't going to do it unless I did it right, meaning using organic cotton, safe for both babies and our planet. And, so a brand was born. Sort of...because I still needed designs. And, none of it could have happened without the help and advice of my girlfriend, Amalia, my brother, Lirjon, and my parents. Thanks, guys!

The first collection is the "I'm Pooped" line of 100% certified organic onesies, available in pink, blue, and cream. This line was inspired by the super cute way in which my younger brother used to sleep as a baby. He would curl up his legs and stick his little butt straight up in the air. Most peaceful thing I have ever seen. I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I do. Thanks!"

Here are a few of Bergin's designs:

My daughter just found the exact same sleeping position about 2 weeks ago, which made this onesie even cuter to me. I also received the baby girl design that has a sweet little bow in her hair. I find that organic baby clothes are much softer in general, but this onesie is even softer than those, and also much thicker. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. I think it's important to buy high quality items that I use frequently. Often we splurge on "special" clothes that will be worn once or twice, and then go cheap on the basics only to find they wear out quickly and we have to buy new ones. I generally put my little one in a onesie and pair of pants everyday when we're playing around the house, and I can tell this onesie will hold up well (and it will most likely get used more often than others since it's so cute!)

Bergin is offering a giveaway of your choice of onesie from his shop BurgundyBaby
